Kérastase Biotic and Resistance

Once again it seems I have a new Kérastase post, click Here to read the others, but this truly is one of my favourite hair care brands.
I was looking on Kérastase website, reading about some of the new’er products and for some reason I didn’t seem to be able to find the Specifique Bain Vital Dermo-Calm that I wrote about not long ago, but instead there were some new (probably not that new though) Specifique products called Bain Bio-Recharge. Now I don’t know if it means that the Bain Bio-Recharge has replaced the Bain Vital Dermo-Calm and I have tried contacting Kérastase about it, but with no response so far, but it seems to be aimed at the same thing the Bain Bio-Recharge just targeting a few more areas.

First time trying it definitely has a very different scent than any other Kérastase products, a bit more clinical, that I wasn’t a big fan of first time around. But now that I have tried it for a month, I now really like the scent, as it leaves the hair with a very clean scent.
I paired it with an old favourite Ciment Anti-Usure, as I know this is great for damaged hair and as I am trying to grow out my hair a bit, I want to keep my ends in tip top condition.
After first wash my hair felt extremely clean and scalp felt very nourished. I let it air dry that first time and was quite surprised to find my hair looking like I had blow-dried it, when normally it looks a bit frizzy when I let it air dry.
Now after a month of use I still find it amazing at giving shine at the same time as giving my hair a bit of volume and body. I will actually go as far as to say that it might be working a bit to well, as the other day while looking in the mirror I literally had a little sparkle at the roots of my hair, that turned out to be a grey hair that was so shiny that it sparkled. So downside is, I suppose I will have to start colouring my hair a bit more often with this shampoo! But besides that I can’t say anything bad about this shampoo, I am just so impressed.

Kérastase Couture Styling products

Despite my last post also being about a Kérastase product, I decided to still split them into two post, as they are from different hair categories.
Now the Kérastase Couture Styling range is still quite a new range, so I hadn’t tried any of the products before and was therefore very excited to do so.
I have to say they did just what I had expected, and I am really happy with my purchase.
The Styling Mouse Bouffant, gives real good lasting volume to the hair, while still making the hair look natural and healthy.
The Styling Laque Couture gives a really fine mist when spraying, making it easy to control product amount in the hair, and it gives a real lasting flexible hold, perfect as a finishing spray to finish of a blow-dry or after curling the hair.

The only thing I am not the biggest fan of with these products, is the smell as it is quite musky, which is not really a favourite of mine, but I don’t seem to be able to smell it during the day.

I think what I find the best about Kérastase products, is that they always makes your hair look quite natural, kind of like your own hair on a really good hair day. They also never seem to fail to impress when ever I have tried a new product, and I have never had any reactions or damage when using any of their products. So for those reasons, I think Kérastase will always be amongst my top favourite hair brands.

Kérastase Specifique Bain Vital Dermo-Calm

I have always been a big fan of Kérastase, and the fascination goes back to when I was very young and smelling my mums Nutritive Bain Satin shampoo.
To this day, the smell of that shampoo, brings me right back to my childhood.
Later on, while working as a hairstylist I always found Kérastase one of the ranges I would recommend most often to clients, as I always knew they would get great results using it at home.
While working in a salon, I also attended quite a few training sessions with Kérastase, and one of the things you are taught is to start with looking at the scalp, when finding the perfect product for a person, as healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. This has pretty much been my philosophy ever since then, so a natural choice for me when I have periods of sensitive and dry scalp, is Kérastase Specifique Bain Vital Dermo-Calm.

Sensitive and dry scalp is quite common when you are feeling stressed, or as a reaction to new a hair products that your scalp might not like.
So when seeing and remembering how good this shampoo is, when doing some online shopping at a very stressful time, my scalp literally did a small happy dance.

This shampoo gives a calming affect on the scalp from day one of using, and just balancing it out to normal after just a few weeks of use. It will also leave your hair shiny and nourished, and easy to manage.
A real winner if you are suffering from sensitive or/and dry scalp.

I get mine from HQhair HERE.

HQ Hair and Feeluniqe Haul

I had run out of some of my can’t live without products, and had just received a 15% off code from HQ Hair, so nothing else to do than shop really.

While I was on the site, I came across Kérastase new Couture Styling range, and since I needed a new mousse and hair spray, I thought I would try them out as well.

Kérastase Specifique Dermo-Calm Bain Vital 250ml
This is one of my all time favourites shampoos, ever since i worked as a hairdresser 7 years ago. But had kind of forgot about it trying out so many other shampoos at the moment, but got all excited when I saw this on the site, even my scalp had a happy dance moment remembering the effects of this shampoo.

Kérastase Styling Laque Couture 300ml
Kérastase Styling Mousse Bouffant 150ml
These are both new products to me, I had seen an add for it, but not really heard that much about it. But since I am a big Kérastase fan, I sort of “HAD” to try it. So I review should be coming soon.

Loreal Tecni.Art Fix Design Fixing Spray 200ml
This spray has been in my beauty cupboard for the last 15 years, not that I use it daily, but it is defiantly one of the products I can’t live without.

SkinCeuticals Sheer Mineral UV Defense SPF 50 50ml
I have been so impressed with the SkinCeuticals Ultra Facial Defence SPF 50, that was in my October favourites, so I thought I would try this one out as well.

Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Skin Rehydration Serum 30ml
Now this is one of those products that I don’t think I will ever be able to live without. I have used it every day since I got introduced to it about 3 years ago.
