Lucky 7 Diner in Notting Hill, London.

The other day I had a meeting in London and it happened to be close to where my friend lives, who also happened to be free to meet that day. Despite being well past lunch, non of us had had lunch, so she took me to her favourite burger place The Lucky Seven Diner in the Notting Hill area to have a late lunch.
I am not going to lie, but my first thought when seeing the place was, that it might not have been a place for me, as it just looked like a place where all the food was deep fried and very greasy. Boy was I wrong! Just goes to show, never judge a book by it’s cover.

I don’t know if it was because I was so hungry, but this might have been the best burger I have ever had. My favourite kind of burger is grilled chicken breast burgers, but as I have mentioned before, not a lot of places know how to do them right. This place certainly does.
I had the Foghorn Leghorn, without cheese. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the bun was soft and all the guacamole and special mayo worked perfectly together. I am also a fan of their american fries (chips), very crispy on the outside and with no bad oil flavour. This truly was a gourmet burger experience, that I hadn’t expected from this little diner.

But I can honestly say that I would gladly travel across London to have a burger at this place some other time, so well worth a visit if you are in London or in the Notting Hill area.
